Right then, time for the Southern League to be held up for scrutiny...

No, I'm not referring to the Halesowen match - I'll leave that to the real conspiracy theorists among us. Suffice it to say that I hope (possibly without much justification) that common sense prevails this time.

No, my concern is much more straightforward. How are we supposed to play home games on 17 and 21 August at Bromsgrove when Bromsgrove Rovers (if they still exist, or are indeed still playing at the Victoria Ground by then) have home fixtures against Hungerford and Bideford on those dates?

I mean, it's not as though we are in a different League from Bromsgrove. Different Divisions, yes, but the same League, with the same fixture compiler and the same "administration".

Honestly...

You may be right, Baz. What has happened to Rovers is a crying shame, bordering on a scandal. I remember us being down at Forest Green on the final day of the 92/93 season, when Rovers finished runners-up to Wycombe in the Conference, and look where they are now. It's not for me to apportion blame in the long-running saga, but when you consider that some Rovers fans (maybe that should be "ex" Rovers fans) look on Steve Daniels as the "good guy", relatively speaking.....

However, be all that as it may, Bromsgrove are still in existence, are still a Southern League club, and are still (I think - it has been hard to keep up at times!) claiming the Victoria Ground as the venue for their home fixtures, so how have the League arrived at this situation?
