The good:
Sensibly, the SL have not scheduled games on the days that England are playing!
Truro in November? Not bad, especially as we could have had a midweek. Not many games called off in November.
Weymouth in March - will take that.
The bad:
Halesowen at home in August again? Are they taking the p***? Only consolation is that this won't be at the Grove.
Why no game on New Year's Day? This is traditionally a big crowd day. Plus is a waste of a non-floodlit game.
The general:
After the lousy weather we had last season, with games in March and April being postponed, you'd have thought they'd have extended the season this time out - start 7 August and finish 8 May (week before FA Cup final) but no - it's the same schedule! How many fixture pile-ups would it take for make allowances. Plus they could also then knock out a couple of midweek games, and keep these for rearranged games.
And for the third year running we have Chippenham away on a Tuesday night!
